Students Stand When Called Upon, and When Not
The stand-up desks come with swinging footrests, and with adjustable stools allowing children to switch between sitting and standing as their moods dictate.

This piece caught my eye because one of the things that I found nearly unbearable during my return to the college classroom last year was how uncomfortable the institutional furniture was. It can’t possibly have been designed with the needs of the student in mind (more likely they were going for durability and cost savings).

Ha, the UCSB chairs? I don’t really mind them. They’re better than Los Angeles Unified School District chairs.
UCSB’s were OK, but CCSF’s were horrid. They were probably hijacked from a middle school somewhere. Not the idea place to park it during a 3 hour night class.
