If true, this could be huge. It looks like the premise is that third-party developers will be able to get access to Facebook data (including photos) through new APIs.

This could make Facebook much less of a walled garden and give them a more compelling competitive response to services like Twitter.

    it will be interesting specifically what data will be available and how it can be used. hopefully, it just wont be small subset will also include some demo / behavioral info

    Though if they give anyone access to republish my pix/updates w/o my ability to opt out, I’ll just remove all pix, and use only facebook updates — and move all interaction with long-lost friends to e-mail or elsewhere.
