Toni’s Dumping His iPod

October 10th, 2005 · No Comments · Web/Tech

Excellent post by Toni on why he’s dumping his iPod. Basically music services like our own Yahoo! Music Unlimited and others are leaving iTunes in the dust from a feature set perspective, and it makes more sense to have a player that works with any service, not just iTunes.

I was lucky enough to have been in the market for a new music player around the time that our music service launched at the beginning of the summer. Good thing, because I chose the Creative Zen Micro over the soon-to-be-discontinued iPod Mini. I’m very happy with the Micro; we listen to it in the car on the way to work just about every day now. I’m thinking of buying a second one for listening to in the house.

Just stopped by Scoble’s blog to see what he thinks of our new podcast search service, looks like he’s a fan. Excellent!

Ian Rogers wrote some easy instructions for how to install a plug-in for Yahoo! Music Engine that integrates podcast search.
