The Mono team is still kicking butt, they just released a new version that sports an auto-configuration option for Apache, which lets you drop an .aspx (etc.) file into a directory served by Apache and it just works (just like .php files etc. do today).
This is vital and I can’t wait to find some time to take another whack at it. I was fooling around with a spare computer at home a few weeks ago and I set up Ubuntu (easy!) and then tried to set up Mono (impossible for me!) so this is good news. I love the idea of Mono but getting it packaged and distributed in such a way that a subgenius like me can use it has always been their biggest hurdle. Miguel posted a status and road map for the project.
