I have many reasons for saying this, but not a lot of time at the moment, but let me just say that being able to shoot video with my new phone is righteous. Also the camera is so much better than my old camera phone it’s not even funny. Behold at right: an example.
Finally, being able to add Yahoo! Music Engine subscription music to your phone is so huge I could just squeak with delight.

wow.
Considering how craptastic the 650 camera is, that’s a MAJOR improvement.
Jeffrey-
Is it just the camera or do you like the Treo? My 650 rocks too even without the nice camera….
I think a big part of it is the fact that I’ve never had a PDA/phone with an integrated keypad before and it’s really making my life easier. The new version of Windows Mobile (the operating system on the Treo 700) takes away nearly all of the usability things that annoyed me about Windows Mobile in the past and adds a bunch of new features, like the ability to see someone’s land line, mobile, email, and SMS contacts in a single screen without having to drill down a lot.
The music thing I mentioned really is actually really cool and it’s something that I’ll use a lot (when I’m traveling mostly — when I’m at home I’ll listen to music on my Creative Zen or on my PC).
any idea how to get that subscription music to play off an SD card? I get DRM license errors when I try. Plays fine of the internal RAM, but not from an SD card.
Can it stream music from Yahoo Music? That’s the feature I’m waiting for. I can’t tell if you mean that you can download tracks to play later or if it actually acesses YM over EVDO.
Thanks,
Kurt
Yahoo! subscription music is downloaded, not streamed, although you could listen to streaming radio on this phone.
