PDC 2003: They’re redoing ASP.NET code-behind

October 28th, 2003 · No Comments · Web/Tech

I haven’t been blogging from the PDC much because I’ve been using my downtime to deal with stuff that’s going on back at the office, also because the signal/noise ratio on PDC is a little low for my taste and I don’t want to exacerbate the problem. (The real reason, though, is the fact that the wireless connectivity at the conference is crap.) Anyway, I did run across this little tidbit that I wanted to share. It’s plumbing, but it addresses one of my biggest problems with ASP.NET: code behind. They’re totally redoing it for ASP.NET 2.0 to make it very clean and elegant; it appears that there’ll be no downsides to using it when it appears. Details here.
