I’m an honorable man, so I won’t reveal which of my former co-workers was ready to bet me folding money a few years ago that Tivo was going to turn into a bug splat on the windshield of one cable company or another. But dang, look what happened to those delicious bastards today — their loss increased by 7X (because they’re paying big bucks to sue the crap out of everybody — very successfully — to establish patents on DVR technology) and their stock pops by 7.7% in one day.
I believe the phrase they’re using on the campus these days is "WOO HOO". As a stockholder, all I have to say is HIRE MORE LAWYERS, you delicious bastards. CLEARLY YOUR STRATEGY IS WORKING.
