Jeff Bezos: 5 billion data objects stored on Amazon S3
Amazon.com CEO Jeff Bezos is giving a keynote talk right now at Web 2.0 Expo. He shared some Amazon S3 stats for the first time:
- 5 billion objects being stored today, up from 800 million six months ago(?)
- They handle 920 million requests per day at peak
- They handle 16,607 requests in one second at peak
