BART Departures is another Facebook application that lets users see real-time departure information for trains in any station of the Bay Area Rapid Transit district. You can look up departure times for trains from your station of choice and the publish the train you plan on taking to your Facebook profile. The application also republishes information from the @SFBART account on Twitter so you can see if there are any ongoing delays or issues with BART.
This application uses PHP and BART’s Real Time ETA API. It uses no durable local data store (information from the BART web service is cached locally using memcached).
